The Rhumerie de Chamarel

One of the distillery’s strong points is that it was designed to provide a holistic tourism experience to guests. Mauritian architect Maurice Giraud has created a building that blends harmoniously with the spectacular surroundings. Wood, natural stone and water provide a sense of communion with nature, turning the distillery into one of the most beautiful factories in the world. Another strong point of the distillery is that it was created to produce the finest rum. Experienced guides will take you behind the scenes to provide a thorough explanation of the rum making process while you visit the distillery.

At the Chamarel distillery, we take great pride in crafting the finest rum using traditional methods and the highest quality ingredients. Our rum is made exclusively from the sugarcane grown on our own plantation, ensuring that only the best and freshest cane is used.

Package Details

Our rum is distilled in small batches, allowing us to closely monitor the process and ensure the highest level of quality. We use a combination of copper pot stills and column stills to create a unique blend of flavors and aromas that are truly unforgettable.

But our commitment to quality doesn’t stop at the distillation process. We carefully age our rum in oak barrels, allowing it to develop a rich, complex flavor profile that is sure to delight even the most discerning of palates.

    • Pickup services are available when purchased with Chauffeur-Driven Transfer Services
    • We pickup clients island wide.
    • Pickups are normally done 1 to 2 hours before activity starts. Returns transfers are included.
    • Do mention your exact pickup location once you place your order. We will be happy to assist by WhatsApp also.

Relax Max war sehr zuverlässig und ich habe Delphine und Wale gesehen. Die haben auch noch auf gespätete Kunden gewartet. Ich fand, dass sehr freundlich. Ich war hin und weg als ich die Wale aus der Nähe gesehen habe. Relax Max ist wirklich empfehlenswert.

What a fab day. The venue is so well organised. The staff are welcoming and explain everything very well. We chose the 6 zip line adventure trip and a quad bike double discovery tour. Both were fabulous and we both felt safe, informed and didn’t have to queue. We had great fun and then ended up using the cafe and it was clean and nice. Would do again!

We did choose DOLPHIN AND WHALE ENCOUNTER. Excellent experience altogether! Did see lots of delphins and whales. The tour operator wisely suggested a change of date due to weather forecasts (wind conditions). That made sure we had great a half day at sea. One might note that few drops of water might occur, since it is an ocean we are dealing with. Warmly recommend.
